About

Hello and welcome to my creative etsy home. I'm Mamta Motiyani, the designer behind this colorful shop.

Mamta in my regional language means "Mother's Love" . I like to be true to my name. I create each thing lovingly with my hands and feel that they have a life of their own. Like my name, I love my creations like my babies and want to share them with you. I talk with them, play with them, love them and want to pass them to you so you can take their care just like me.I do hope you love my babies just like I do.

I stay in Mumbai, India with my husband Raju, my infant daughter named Shaman and my 5 year old zen pet turtle Dhinglei which means doll.

My first experience with crafts was when I was a four years old tot. My crafts teacher used to love when I showed her my paper crafts. Then one day, I was inspired to learn Crochet. My mom found it tough to teach that to me as I'm left handed. But me, being a stubborn mule learnt it the very same day with my right hand.

I'm a self learner. Most of the times, I pick up a book from a crafts shop and start making the crafts. I'm a kind of person who even learns by looking at a craft and pick up the idea just by her intuition. Many a times, I get inspired by dreams, things, internet, an idea or just about anything. I may even get inspired by you. My muse does the work of designing for me and sometimes seems to run wild. ;-)

In a nutshell, that's me: colorful, vibrant, unconventional, enthusiastic, full of energy & variety, "Mamta".
