Marcia Hovland's Profile

About

I studied painting and drawing at the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI, and graduated in 1982. I expanded on the imagery I used in my paintings and applied them to clay.

I soon transferred my painting skills to clay, and began making tiles. I also studied at the oldest working production pottery in the United States, Pewabic Pottery, located in Detroit MI.

I own a Studio/Gallery in downtown Royal Oak where I make and sell my work; this will be my 10th year having the Gallery.
