Marnie Kirk's Profile

About

Hello, my name is Marnie. The name,"Marnie Farmer," is a nick name I had as a kid and it stuck with me. I love hunting for vintage items. I also love vintage sewing notions, vintage costume jewelry, animal figurines, porcelain flowers, old antique busts, vintage 1920's ephemera of all kinds. I make collage art out of old sheet music and other paper ephemera. Each item is hand selected or handmade with love. I have made a commitment to my customers, to give them a wonderful shopping experience through excellent communication and customer service. I would love this to be my full time income someday as soon as fate and hard work allows. I price my items as low as I can, as I know shipping is a real killer when you add it to the cost of an item, and I would like to give many people of all income levels, the opportunity to purchase wonderful treasures from the past.
When I was little I had dreams of owning my own store…

When I was little I had dreams of owning my own store. I would arrange all my toys like they were displayed in a wonderful toy store. I used my mom's old credit cards and check registers and practiced ringing up my stuffed animals purchases, on my Fisher Price cash register, with the old plastic chunky coins(Remember the 70's)? I guess my childhood dream came true, thanks to Etsy and all of the wonderfully talented people on this site. I am absolutely amazed by the talent and the beauty I see. I always have my finger on the "Favorite" button.
I would love to continue to progress as a collage/mixed media artist. I have some great collages I have been working on for the last year, and they will be released this Spring, so please stop by from time to time to have a look.
My loyal customers help me to support my children as a single mother, and continue to feed my spirit every day by doing what I absolutely love. I will sometimes stay up in the wee hours searching inspiring shops for new and exciting products. I commit to supporting fellow Etsians, by buying and promoting their items whenever I can. If you give to others here on Etsy, you will get so much support and kindness in return. I wish there was an Etsy town were all of us lived and could actually walk in and talk first hand with all these wonderful shop owners. But, being a part of this community is the greatest! Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I love to chat, so Convo me anytime with any questions or comments. I would love to get to know more of you. Thank you again.
