About

I love old things! At the tender age of 4, I got into trouble for bringing home a beaded sweater I had taken from a neighbor's trashcan. I loved to visit my maternal grandmother, whose house had been built and furnished in the 40's. Still vivid in my memory are the Venetian blinds that hung all around her sunroom, their wide tapes yellowed from age.
In the 70's, I collected vintage clothing, when thrift shops were filled with the most wonderful period garments, any of which could be had for a song. In the 80's, "antique" furniture became my new love, along with dishes, glassware, silver, in fact, anything that was worn, well used, and bore the marks of ages past.
Things haven't changed a bit. We live in a 1920's bungalow in an older neighborhood, where each home flaunts its architectural individuality.

Things haven't changed a bit. We live in a 1920's bungalow in an older neighborhood, where each home flaunts its architectural individuality.
I married a man and have a daughter who both love to photograph old buildings and rusty machinery, as well as flowers and anything of true, simple beauty. Together, we have in common a desire to see aging articles brought new life through art.
In this spirit we now carry a line of products with a reference to the past. Though many are old stock and many are new, they have that vintage appearance, with a charm and grace peculiar to those golden days, now gone forever. My hope is that whether in using or wearing them, they bring you enjoyment and delight.

..... New items are regularly being added to our ever increasing inventory. Although I haven't much time to devote to creating many of the worn-looking supplies, we now stock primarily materials for you to use in your own creations!

“Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”
