About

Hi everyone! My name is Sarah. I am a full time mom to a toddler and a part time farmer. Taking time to create has been hard, but happens every so often. When it does, I take full advantage and take that experience by the reins.

My creativity comes in waves. Sometimes I am on a sewing kick, other times I am busy tiedying. I have noticed it is location-dependant.

The 1st time I tiedyed anything was over 20 years ago. I think it was at the Strawberry Festival in Beacon, NY. Since then, I have been a vendor there! In 2006, I decided to dye for a living (see what I did there?). I would repurposefully create in my studio apartment sink then hang the finished results outside to dry. My love of macrame has grown over the years, even if I have put down the hemp from time to time. I love to constant movement of my hands and the brain power it takes to figure out how to place the beads just so. Sometimes my creations are simple, other times, they are quite elaborate. It depends on what mood I am in, or what supplies I have on hand. No two are ever alike, as with all of my work.

Saving our planet one item at a time is what I like to strive for. I enjoy picking up white clothes from thrift stores so that I can give them a new, more colorful life. In my crinkle "taggie" toys (NOT affiliated with the TAGGIES brand), the crinkle is actually a well-washed repurposed cereal bag. I wish I could take credit for this idea, but alas, I found it on Pinterest. Some beads that I have used whilst creating beautiful macrame pieces, used to be perhaps a necklace, earrings, bracelet, etc. My mom sometimes has a tendency of handing off her broken goods to me to use.

Thanks for visiting my shop and for taking the time to read this. If you have any questions, please ask as I would love to hear from you.
