About

Right out of the gate I reveled in making art. It soothed my soul and still does. Not to say I haven't found myself in a fight with it from time to time. For me, art is primal as breathing. About

Right out of the gate I reveled in making art. It soothed my soul and still does. Not to say I haven't found myself in a fight with it from time to time. For me, art is primal as breathing. It’s process of mystery and magic compels and anchors me and explains why I'm here. I cannot imagine my life without it.

Throughout my childhood I did every art project I could get my hands on. I attended Antioch College in Ohio and The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and spent many years engaged in monoprinting, photography, silkscreen, ceramics and more. Over time what I felt most deeply connected to emerged:
painting, fiber art, and collage.
My jewelry evolved as a synthesis of these loves.

No matter what the medium, I've always been interested in creating pieces that connect you with the vibration inside, the humming of life and the spirit behind that. In creating my Fabric Jewels, as I make the roll that I’ll be cutting up, I use thoughts of course, but there's the more important part that guides me to infuse this very abstract thing with current, so that each slice will spark and you’ll know it’s alive.
