Artist Statement:

My artistic work is primarily concerned with the numinous intersect of nature and metaphor, with moments of amused astonishment when the familiar become new. Although, art also serves as a raven nest for all the things I love.

I was born in the north woods, and spent my childhood following streams to see where they led, keeping snakes in jars, drinking tea cups of rain, barefoot and disheveled, bowled over by splendor. Bio:

Melody Sage has had solo exhibits in the Snoodle and Washington Studios Galleries. Her poetry and fiction have appeared in several journals and magazines including The Best of Vine Leaves Literary Journal, Menacing Hedge, and The Dirty Napkin.
