Welcome! I make and sell catnip-filled blankets and toys for cats, using our homegrown, organic, dried catnip. This last year, I began making cat-themed aprons, so you'll find them in my shop too. (I have another etsy shop at http://BarkRiverBoutique.etsy.com with more aprons and other handmade items.) For several decades, I've sold herbs, vegetables, and dried florals at a local farmers' market, so I began by selling my catnip items and aprons there. Then I discovered etsy and began selling here too.

I really enjoy working with all the gorgeous cat prints, and making the catnip toys and blankets that bring such fun to cats and their owners! My stash of cat fabric photos is large, so there are a lot of "thumbnail pics of fabrics" that I could email you, should you ever want a custom-made catnip blanket.

I live in a smoke-free home. And I spend a lot of time trying to find the very nicest fabrics. I very gently wash and lightly press them before making the mats. That way they are pre-shrunk and any excess fabric dyes are removed (some cats have a sensitivity to strong dyes).

Sometimes items may "disappear" from my shop. This just means that I have sold the item locally or that I've taken them to a craft fair or market. And occasionally a few may "reappear" in my shop after a market or show is over.

Payments: Please pay via PayPal within 3 days (etsy policy), unless there are special circumstances; in that case, please contact me and we'll try to work something out.

Also, please make sure that your etsy and PayPal shipping addresses are the same. If they aren't, let me know within twenty-four hours, and indicate which address you would like used; otherwise I will ship to your PayPal address.

Shipping: I'm always happy to combine shipping on multiple items. I can send you a revised invoice via PayPal before you make payment, or else I can just send you a shipping refund if you've paid more at etsy checkout than the actual S/H amount. I usually enclose any shipping refunds in the package with your items. Insurance is always extra/optional, so if you'd like your package insured, please let me know that before paying too.

International buyers: Please contact me before buying, since customs laws in some countries do not allow sellers to send handsewn items. After hearing from you, I'll gladly edit my listings to allow you to buy and go through etsy checkout. Any additional fees charged by customs are the responsibility of the buyer.
