About

Merav Gold (Designer)

Born in 1983, Merav discovered her love for colored stones and crystals while traveling in India shortly after completing high school and two years of military service in her native Israel. She began creating jewelry in the traditional "mala" knotting style she learned while abroad, using colored stones to create pieces that were an expression of her unique taste, her deep appreciation of nature, and her respect for the energies each stone intrinsically holds. After several months away from home, Merav returned to Israel and began her education in the art of jewelry design at Inbar Studio, a private jewelry academy in Tel Aviv.

Once she received her certification from Inbar, Merav moved to Los Angeles, where she continued her studies at the Jewelry Art Design College (JADC), specializing in wax technique. Shortly after receiving her JADC certification, Merav decided to create her own line, drawing from ideas and and school projects she created in Israel and during her studies in the U.S.

An expression of her individuality and her appreciation of jewelry design as a tactile craft, Merav's exclusive line incorporates natural motifs into wearable works of art. She finds great joy in the process of creation and realizes that because precious metals and stones come from the earth, they hold special energy and power. Seeing her ideas become reality has its own rewards, but knowing that someone will wear and love a piece of jewelry she poured her own love and creativity into is motivational to her. Merav is constantly working on new designs, continuing her education, and learning to navigate the industry. Merav's designs are currently carried at Traffic Women in the Beverly Center in Los Angeles. A highly personal form of self-expression, Merav's jewelry is not mass-produced, and every Merav Gold piece is manufactured to the highest production standards in Los Angeles and Israel to ensure quality control. Merav currently spends all her time in L.A., focusing on new designs for her next collection and developing opportunities to expand the line.

In her free time, Merav volunteers for Stand By Me, a non-profit organization that supports cancer patients and their families. 10% of Merav's profits are donated to charity.
