MichaelsRosaries' Profile

About

Michael's Rosaries is located in Oklahoma. My rosary making odyssey began in 2007. Having family and friends in the military, I though it would be a good idea to make military mission rosaries for our fine military men & women serving in the desert away from home and family.

In 2008 I made a rosary for a friend who was leaving for Rome. I used some unusual parts in the rosary. She loved the design and said I even used the same crucifix that she wears.

That same year, I made about 30 rosaries for my family as Christmas gifts. Another time, for the former priest of my parish, I made a rosary that took his heritage into consideration.

All these gifts were very well received, and the positive reactions inspired the creation of Michael's Rosaries, the web store, in 2009. In 2010 I began selling my rosaries at craft shows. It's been a wonderful journey. I can't wait to see where the Lord takes me next.

Each rosary I create is a one-of-a-kind. My goal is to provide rosaries to as many people as possible and to encourage all people to pray the rosary often.

Browse through my shop. I hope you find a rosary you like. They also make great gifts for Christmas, Easter, baptism, first communion, confirmation, weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays. To give a rosary is to give the gift of prayer. They are meant to bring a person closer to God.

If you have a design idea in mind and want me to make it for you, contact me to discuss the details.

The following is a small glossary of terms I use in my descriptions:

Pater (bead) - the bead on which one recites the Our Father (Pater Noster)

Center - also centerpiece, the small piece to which the strings of beads are attached

Crucifix - the cross with the corpus

Corpus - the body of Jesus on the cross

Bead caps - caps that are placed on one or both ends of a bead

Accent beads - beads added to set off the Pater beads

Spacer beads - bead used to add space between beads (placed between both Ave and Pater beads)
