When I was a little girl taking dance lessons my mother was always the one to make the costumes for the recitals. I loved to watch her sew and one day I decided I was going to sew too. So I took some of her fabric, laid my cabbage patch kid doll on top, traced around her twice, cut out the shapes and stapled them together. Voila! My first shirt! The only problem was that I forgot about the third dimension so the shirt didn't fit my doll. Oh, and did I mention it was stapled together?!! Needless to say I have improved since then!
My first crafting adventure may not have gone very well but it definitely ignited a passion for creativity inside me. Over the years I have learned how to do all sorts of crafts mostly through some sort of necessity and I'm always looking for the next challenge. Hopefully one of my talents can serve you!
