Mike's Profile

About

Hi, I'm Mike.

I take previously owned T shirts and recycle them into new and useful products. Mostly yarn.

Each ball of yarn is made from a single T shirt. I use clean but previously owned t shirts. Usually it is one color at a time because I rarely find multiple shirts of the same color that match. Wraps Per Inch is the number of times that the yarn wraps around an object (a pencil or a ruler) for a distance of one inch. It is an indication of how thick the yarn is.

Examples:
4 WPI = yarn that is 1/4" wide
6 WPI = yarn that is 1/6" wide
8 WPI = yarn that is 1/8" wide

When purchasing multiple skeins please be sure that they are the same WPI. This way they will match up nicely in weight and thickness.
