Milbits' Profile

About

Once upon a time lived a very crafty girl named Esther. Esther made pom pom animals, knit, made beaded jewelry (before anyone else did!) and many other crafts. She was a die hard crafter. The ones that buy more supplies then they will ever use and have them stacked and stashed wherever they will fit. She collected and kept things she new would be useful and was the recipient of many vintage treasures when her friends began to pass on.
Esther became older and went to live with Daughter-in-Law #1 and her husband. Her house was sold and all of her treasures were packed in boxes and put into a shed for storage.
She wasn't up to crafting much anymore but would not part with her treasures.
Daughter-in-Law #1 was a crafty girl, too. Maybe more so than even Esther. She was die hard, and between her stash and Esther's she could have opened a craft store of her own. Esther passed on and Daughter-in-Law #…

Esther passed on and Daughter-in-Law #1 didn't have much time to look at Esther's treasures much less organize them. So there that sat, boxed in the shed, until Daughter-in-Law #1 reached retirement and had some free time.
She began to open and organize; she does organize really well. Bins and bins of yarns and dodads. Boxes and boxes of beads and findings. She didn't know what to do with them all.
That is when her daughter-in-law came for a visit one weekend and saw some of the beads in her sewing room. She is the third generation in this story and DIL #2 for short. DIL #2 is a crafty girl, too. It seems the men of this family like them that way. But #2 is also an Etsy girl and knew right away what those beads in the sewing room were. She had been buying them on Etsy for years! Then DIL #1 led DIL #2 into the shed and it was like Christmas. Too many for the DIL's to use so Milbits was born.

What you find here in our shop are the treasures from Esther's shed. When it is gone Milbits will be,too. Trust me it will take years.....lol
