A Brooklyn, New Yorker currently living and working in my studio in Front Royal, Virginia. I received my BFA in Painting & Drawing from the Academy Of Art in San Francisco, California in 1990, but ever since I can remember picking up a pencil, my life has evolved around creating Art.
My present love is mud! All of my work is individually handmade, designed by me either on the wheel, using slabs, or sculpted freehand. I find using these various technique impart that quality of perfect imperfection I so love about handmade pottery. I further enhance this perfect imperfection by scraping off glaze around rims and other areas of my pieces adding a bit of romance and rustic character. At times, I leave larger areas of clay exposed (naked) to add color contrast and textural interest.
