About

I've been knitting & crafting for most of my life. I've always had a deep need to create and see my creations go into the world, on their own adventures...hopefully bringing some of the happiness it was made with to whomever it passes to. It never fails- my crafts that I love most, I can't wait to see in someone else's hands and a part of their everyday. I am so grateful to be here and have the chance to share my creations.

I'm inspired by so much, but I always come back to: objects with texture and soul. Fibers that cry out to be touched & warmed by a body. Oddball & misfit toys that sit battered or unloved, quietly pleading for a few more hugs and adventures. I'm inspired by so much, but I always come back to: objects with texture and soul. Fibers that cry out to be touched & warmed by a body. Oddball & misfit toys that sit battered or unloved, quietly pleading for a few more hugs and adventures. Strands of beads in a second-hand store, dusty and dated and begging to be transformed, given new life. Stones that've seen aeons before being carved into the beads I buy...what stories they could all tell, if we could listen.

I hope to see a new hand craft renaissance in my lifetime...the world is full of mass produced mediocrity and getting fuller, and this makes me so sad. I want to bring originality, spirit, and craftsmanship back into people's lives, one item at a time. There is such beauty in age. The handcrafted. The different and one-of-a-kind. I created Misfit Garden to give the one of a kind a place to grow, so that my crafts can live and breathe, and go on to tell their own stories.
