I've always been fascinated by the fabulous fashions in the great "Black & White" movies of the 1930s & 1940s. The designers of these clothes are Stars in their own right!

One of my favorites was in the 1930s, the actress Kay Francis was dressed by Orry-Kelly for most of her films. She had many costume changes in each film, with ensembles usually including very sophisticated hats & accessories. She was as noted for her fashion style, just as much as her acting.
It's quite wonderful to see the designs of Adrian, Orry-Kelly, Irene, and Edith Head, just to name a few, translated into today's fabrics & styles.
Boleros & shrugs are again in style, as are those lovely old bedjackets are now worn as toppers for jeans & dresses...terrific!
When I don't have a crochet hook in my hand, I'm going through all my patterns for more inspiration.
I hope you enjoy these fashions, as much as I do, & strive to keep vintage fashion alive!
