I began formulating around 2000-2001 and developed the ModelSupplies brand. One of the first ModelSupplies product was our legendary Pleasantly Plump Lip Plumping Balm!

I attended Dillard School of Performing Arts for high school in Ft. Lauderdale, FL before majoring in Musical Theater Performance at U of Miami. My Professor for Makeup class was author of "The Last Word in Makeup", Rudolph G Liszt. He encouraged us to make most things from scratch - remember, this was theatrical make-up, not what you wear daily.

Things didn't go as planned and I left Miami after 2 years ($) moving back to the Detroit area. When I arrived back in Detroit, having been in saturated in the arts, I really had no idea how to proceed. So, I asked my Dad what people do here - he said they work in factories and got me a job in one of them. Quite a huge difference, but as I see, it came in handy later.

Needless to say, factory work was not my true calling, though I learned many valuable lessons there. I moved on into sales work, mostly inside working on the phone. The natural progression of the office brought computers into my life, which were more than welcome~! I love research and reading non-fiction, so this was a dream to have all of this information literally at my fingertips.

I was an acting and modeling instructor at Barbizon, Intl. in Bloomfield Hills, MI as the internet really began taking off in the late 90's and Y2K. It was during this phase of my life that I learned I could get paid to do what I love - still. I knew that in Florida, but had forgotten somewhere along the way. Here, I helped ages 9-45 or older identify their skin types, color palettes, figure shapes, acting levels, runway walk and more. This was a very exciting job that I only left because we moved causing a 3 hour commute one way to teach a 2 hour class. If we had not moved, I would still be an instructor there.

But we moved.

I worked at a couple of newspapers in the classifieds and inside sales capacity next. Helping people build their businesses really thrilled me~! I loved to help them make up slogans and figure out how to say things best with the least words - even before Twitter =) The newspaper jobs took their natural place in history and I tried an outside sales job for online advertising. This was not a good fit for many reasons and often as I was doing it, I would mention ModelSupplies which I had been working in the background. People would always seem more interested in ModelSupplies than they were in the advertising opportunity I had to offer. They would ask me why if I had my own business didn't I do that? I finally saw they were 100% correct. This is what the path has led me to do so far. I am quickly outgrowing the hand made world now and will need to open a little factory here and hire a couple of people =) While I am happy about that, I am not sure how this will work with Etsy.

My orders for Rapid Brow have been astonishing. Imagine someone wants you to make by hand 2000 bottles and ship them to Germany~! These are the kinds of orders I am getting~! So I am staying up late making them. You will also find UK ModelSupplies and Japan and working on Russia =)

I am so grateful for every order, you have no idea~! I put love and heart into each package and I hope it shows.

THANK YOU~!!!
