Mona Adams' Profile

About

Hello, My name is Mona and I now live in Queen Creek, Arizona. When I first started with Etsy I lived in beautiful Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Pagosa Springs is filled with artists and you cannot help but get caught up in the art world. I have been sewing for most of my life. 10 years ago I found that quilting was a way to express my love of fabric. Quilting is now artwork and the boundaries are unlimited. Since my retirement from the business world, quilting is my other love. My first love is my husband of 20 years. I always have company in my sewing room, Tika Joy and Sabrina Ray join me to see what scraps they can find and play with. I can spend all day in my sewing room and my day flies by. It is so satisfying to finish a quilt, take a step back and look at the beauty of the colors in the fabrics and what they have become. And of course the mind is already starting on the next quilt. No matter where I am it seems that I can find fabric who needs to come home with me and become a quilt.

Several years ago I discovered machine embroidery, which I now incorporate into my quilts.

In 2008 I joined Pagosa Artisans’ Coop dba Painted Pony and am an active member supporting the artists of Pagosa Springs. Where I am currently displaying and selling my quilts and other handmade items. When you are in Pagosa Springs Colorado please stop by our shop and enjoy the artwork of Pagosa Springs.

Quilting is a love and I wish to pass the love of quilting on to you or that special person that you give a quilt to. Quilts are part of history and reflect generations of work and love of quilt making.
