About

I’ve always been interested in creativity at a young age, inspired by my mom as I watched her draw in charcoal, cast jewelry and even take a rusty old saw blade and turned it into a beautiful painting. I’ve even seen her rip bark off the birch trees to construct little canoes and decorative snow sleds for Christmas tree ornaments. She is truly responsible for inspiring and nurturing my creativity and I would not be where I am without her.

At this point of my life, I’ve been obsessed with learning the different techniques of wire wrapped jewelry and the challenges of figuring it out how to create a clean and structurally sound design. But it wasn’t always that way, as young as I can remember, I loved to draw and on my seventh birthday I received drawing book which changed everything for me.

I’ve dabbled in different mediums such as painting on canvas, gluing small intricate pieces of paper to form a picture and even small scale murals. Around 2005 or 2006 I started beading jewelry, but was looking for something a little more challenging for my personality and having a love for sterling silver and copper, the direction of my jewelry making started evolving into the art of chain maille and wire wrapping. Not only have that, the fascination in discovering the different tools and how they are used (properly and improperly) helped me grown in the art of jewelry making. I’ve been fortunate enough to teaching classes periodically at a local bead store which has also helped me grow in developing my techniques but getting back to what I’m very passionate about, I’ve decided to open my Etsy doors to share my little trinket and hopefully someone will cherish them as much as I do.
