It is the movement of the line the interaction of colors and the manipulation of the design that has been a driving force with the art I create. From the mathematically researched kinetic sculptures of geometric design to the bright colorful glass mobiles of ancient animal personifications it is the interaction of the audience that creates the life of the piece and a connection between them and the art. It is the same distortion seen in the motion of my sculptures that has inspired me to create the woven image collages of high fashion and the fluid abstract watercolor print paintings. I look forward to challenging myself with new materials and provocative ideals into the same world of motion and art.

I gladly consider myself a Montanan having lived everywhere from the central plains, home to the farmers and ranchers, to the south eastern high plateaus and even the tree carpeted mountains just west of the continental divide. There is no doubt that the many natural environments that I have explored with the interaction of domestic and wild animals while living closely with different Native American tribes have influenced my art. I feel as if I’ve been able to observe the larger picture while creating only a small detail utilizing many natural materials with designs and beliefs of the different cultures I have experienced. Having moved away from the Big Sky I have enjoyed living a new life in a downtown urban environment of Columbus Ohio. I am amazed and inspired by the structural skyscrapers and the buildings of historic value. Visiting the neighboring cities in the east has challenged me to take the details I created in Montana and create in a larger way. I enjoy listening and playing music of great variety and writing my thoughts in a poetic way. I work as a custom carpenter designing and building outdoor living environments. But above all else is the love I have for my wife. With that love my beliefs are strong and confidence high.
