About

GEMSTONE
by Deborah Davis

To my work bench filled with glee
Bringing out the child in me
Tiny gemstones sparkling light
Rainbow colors soft and bright

Light a candle, ching a chime
Pour a glass of ruby wine
Here is where my muse does lead
Starting with a single bead

Amethyst and turquoise flow
Aventurine with pearls in tow
Crystal quartz like drops of dew
Lapis with its royal blue

From Mother Natures fiery womb
Like flowers in a garden bloom
You twinkle in the darkest mine
To become a miners precious find

Craftsmen see beyond your rawness
And set to work to make you flawless…

by Deborah Davis

To my work bench filled with glee
Bringing out the child in me
Tiny gemstones sparkling light
Rainbow colors soft and bright

Light a candle, ching a chime
Pour a glass of ruby wine
Here is where my muse does lead
Starting with a single bead

Amethyst and turquoise flow
Aventurine with pearls in tow
Crystal quartz like drops of dew
Lapis with its royal blue

From Mother Natures fiery womb
Like flowers in a garden bloom
You twinkle in the darkest mine
To become a miners precious find

Craftsmen see beyond your rawness
And set to work to make you flawless
But imperfections you do keep
And that’s what makes you so unique

Rainbow moonstone adds some flash
Jade and garnet give it class
Sprinkle in some peridot
Now my inspirations grow

At my work bench once again
To make a necklace for a friend
Tiny gemstones happily
Bringing out the child in me.
