Hello friends!
My name is Crystal. I am currently a stay-at-home mom to a beautiful, and absolutely delightful 3 yr old little girl. My daughter is the inspiration to, pretty much, everything I do. I feel blessed to be able to share my days with her, and to have some time for my other passion...Crochet!

I learned the art of crochet 13 years ago. I remember sitting at my kitchen table with my amazing, talented (at EVERYTHING she does) mother. She was working on something beautiful for my soon-to-be sister when I asked her if she would teach me. My mom happily obliged, and patiently sat with me as I learned the basic crochet
stitches. I didnt want to put my yarn and hook down! I may have been the only 17 yr old who turned down an evening of hanging with her friends to stay home and crochet!…

Some years, a few basic scarves and a baby blanket later, my hobby had taken a backseat to life's daily to-dos. I was married to a wonderful man, and a little less than a year later, we welcomed our little miracle into our lives. Lily was born 3 months early, weighing 1lb. 3 oz. We spent 5 1/2 long months in the NICU. During this time, my mom would crochet sweet, tiny hats and outfits for our tiny little baby. It was then, I learned how to read patterns. I made little crochet headbands to match the little crochet outfits my mom had made for Lily. When Lily finally came home, crocheting took a backseat, yet again, until she was about 9 months old and in need of a winter hat. Sure, I could have went out and bought one, but I wanted to create a hat as special and unique as my little Lily. I researched patterns, printed out a few, and stayed up all night until I made the perfect hat for her. I was so proud. It was then, that my true passion for crochet had begun. I basically taught myself many of the stitches through instructional books or video tutorials. I thank God for You Tube and the wonderful women who make those tutorials! Lol!

So, here I am! I love making things for people...especially gifts. I absolutely love a challenge and the satisfaction it brings upon completion. I also LOVE to read. Some of my favorites are The Secret Garden, Pride and Prejudice, Mansfield Park, and, of course, The Twilight Series. I love to create...whether it be something to wear, something to eat, or something pretty to hang on the wall. I just wish there was more time in the day to do everything I love to do!
God Bless!
