Hi There. Welcome to Mrs. S's Sensitive Treats. I hope I can be of help to you or someone you love. I have always felt I was born to help people. I will do my best to briefly tell you why. When my Grandmother was 30 years old, she got Polio and ended up in a wheelchair. She developed many health issues as she got older, and there wasn’t much I could do to make her life more comfortable. I was born in 1975, and at nearly 3 months early and weighing 3 pounds, the doctors didn’t think I would live. Up until I became a Mom for the first time in January of 2009 I worked in long term care as a Recreational Therapist. It makes me very happy to bring comfort and joy to others.

When I was 24 I began feeling sick all the time, and finally, at the age of 26, I found out what was wrong. I have horrible food sensitivities. I am very limited in what I can eat, and it was difficult for my family and friends to enjoy gatherings. They felt as though they were leaving me out when they ate things I couldn’t. Luckily I am married to a wonderful man who loves to cook, and takes joy in inventing new recipes that we can enjoy. I have always loved to bake. For the past 7 years I have been working on baking items that I can enjoy with others, that they will take pleasure in too. I have worked long and hard at making treats that taste like the “real thing” without wheat, gluten, or dairy. Since I became a Mom, I have had to take even more out of my diet as our son has more sensitivities than I do. Now most of what I make is also soy free.
I enjoy eating healthfully, but I crave the occasional treat. I am a chocaholic at heart. I love the outdoors. Hiking, fishing, canoeing, and camping are some of my favorite pastimes. I am teaching myself to sew, and I make crocheted rag rugs like my Grandmother. My passions are being a Wife and a Mommy, and making people happy. I hope I can make you happy too : )
If you have need of further specialties, please contact me. I will do my best to accommodate specific requests. I am a people person and would love any feedback.
