I have been cutting stones for well over a decade and began doing so as a result of requests when I was doing jewelry repairs to re-polish opals.

I cut stones with flat backs, large bevels for bevel setting, relief bevels on the bottom of the stone and low to high to special doming features. All backs are ground to at least 600 grit to aid in any epoxy use, though old stones may have backs ground to high polish.

I now strictly cut stones. I like trying new things so you may see large and random changes to the inventory offered here. And opals are a favorite…

I do not do custom cutting, but I will entertain suggestions. Only the stone will determine its final shape.
