In my earliest childhood memories I always enjoyed drawing and creating. When I was seven a neighbour at our cottage taught me to embroider. I learned the French knot, daisy, stem and back stitches from her. Another neighbour taught me how to machine sew. Under her guidance I made doll clothes which my oldest sister took to work and sold to her co-workers. Soon I was sewing clothes for myself and my friends, including my sister's wedding dress and the bridesmaid dresses.
There were gaps in my sewing as other life events took priority; college, university, career, family, but I found that this was the one activity that I returned to time and again. Throughout this time I have accumulated many, many patterns, fabrics and other items. My sister, who also sews, often relieved me of some of my items, and thus the name of my shop.
