Throughout history, turned wooden bowls have captured the imagination of every civilization. They started out as simple functional vessels used for thousands of years as dishes or serving items, but here, they are transformed into artistic forms.
If you like the look and feel of natural wood, you will like these hand-made objects of art. Each one is unique, showing the beauty of one or several types of wood.
Every piece is conceived and completed in our home shop in northern Minnesota, hand-crafted and turned on a lathe by my husband. Some are made of a single piece of wood, while others are constructed using hundreds of pieces to make a single bowl. No two are the same. Some take several days to make.
