Welcome to mypolkadotpottery on Etsy.

A little bit about me. While this online store is a new adventure, creating pottery has been a full time passion since 1990. After graduating from college, I started selling art for a company in Billings Montana. This job lead me to what I and many people refer to as the "best job on earth". Creating and sharing my pottery with the world continues to be a humbling experience.

The depth of my work was very narrow for many years. In 1996 I had my "ahh ha moment". It is that year that a customer asked my to paint a snowman on a plate. I don't even remember her name.

The depth of my work was very narrow for many years. In 1996 I had my "ahh ha moment". It is that year that a customer asked my to paint a snowman on a plate. I don't even remember her name. I had no idea that she would have such a profound effect on me. The rest is history. Today my snowman line is collected widely and shared as gifts throughout the world. While the ever changing designs and color combinations continue to keep me inspired, it is the simple knowledge that my work makes someone smile that makes it seem like not so long ago that I began this journey.
As if I didn't have enough to do, In 2003 I opened my first Polka Dot Pottery "paint your own pottery studio". I wanted to share my passion with others. Little did I know that business would grow into three studios. It is a joy to see customers create their own works of art. To see my studios, visit www.polkadotpottery.com.

I would love to share everything on Etsy, yet there are only so many hours in a day. Please feel free to see my work at www.kimberlygeiger.com. Requests may be made through Etsy from items you see on my personal site. You may also like my newest Etsy shop, Plain Jane Pottery. Many west coast customers know my work as Kimberly Geiger pottery. I have an Etsy shop, Kimberly Geiger, however have not used the shop to sell as of today.

Enjoy and Be Inspired!
