We want to produce unique, beautiful and practical things.

The wood I use is prevailingly juniper, but some things are nicer and better to make from alder, cobnut or from apple tree. The wood I use derives from West-Estonia little islands (mostli insel SAAREMAA) where the trees grow because of permanent see winds and cold winters wery tardy, thats why the wood is ruvid and texture variegated.

I and my father have made these things about ten years now. I have spent almost every weekend and vacation in our workshop in these ten years. In fact I like the wood work very much - the time I out from office, in workshop, is the quality time.

When I work with piece of wood my goal is to take out the item what has been all the time inside the log. For example a honeispinner was tens of years inside the winding stem juniper until I came and took it out.

About the trees I use
Junipers I use have unique texture and miracular odour. This kind of junipers are growing only in northen areas - Greenland, Scandinavia, Nord-Canada and Nord-Asia. The trees are ruvid and grow usualy 2-5 meeters high. The leaves are needle-like and the seed cones are berry-like (juniper berris are as healthy as garlic and can be use in meats, sauces, and stuffings are also used to flavour gin).
Other trees - alder, cobnut and apple tree – I use for their color and texture. The alder has beutiful reed wood (contrariwise from conifer juniper what has berris the leafy tree alder has cones – these are also used in medicine). Cobnut and apple tree are extremly stalwart and have nice texture.

All the things in my shop are beside decorative value also practical.

Thanks for shopping handmade.
