Bruce Smith's Profile

About

On the afternoon of 03/02/2013, Bruce W. Smith passed away with his beloved cowboy boots on, surrounded by friends and family telling stories and playing him his favorite music. He found his passion in jewelry design after a vacation in the Outer Banks in 2008. Since then he had begun to acquire the tools of the trade and surprised many with his natural ability to bring his creations to life. Over the course of the past few years he created many pieces. He was very appreciative of the response he received and the people who liked and purchased his merchandise. We are currently in the process of deciding what to do with the remainder of his inventory. Unfortunately, we will likely need to take this store down, but until then, if anyone was interested, we can still accept orders. We will also put up a portfolio of his work to live on for people to see.

My journey into the art of jewelry design, began with a collection of Sea Shells from the Outer Banks and Sea Glass that I collected from beachs I have traveled to and still dream about. I began creating gold and sterling silver jewelry from these items and eventually started working with Semi-Precious Gemstones called Cabochons. I take great pleasure in designing and creating jewelry from these natural elements and I hope you enjoy them also.
