Nancy's Profile

About

I currently work from home, but used to do "other things" that required dressing up, commuting in big city traffic, long hours, and hasty meals at my desk. In my former life I was a congressional staffer, lobbyist, management consultant, & published author. I come from a capable and artistic family and gleefully dive into just about any project that doesn't involve plumbing, electricity, or heights. I began making jewelry for myself & to give as gifts.

Friends encouraged me to "go public" with my creations and that is what brought me to Etsy.

I've enjoyed sewing for more than 20 years and eventually decided to offer small fabric items along with the jewelry. While we're not as involved in community theater as we used to be school, 4H, & Halloween continue to provide me with opportunities to design and create costumes.

All of my items are created in a smoke-free, dog-friendly home.

JEWELRY CARE TIPS:
Clean in mild, sudsy water, rinse well, pat dry, then leave on a towel to thoroughly dry before storing in a plastic zipper bag to inhibit tarnish. Protect from scratching, chemicals, extreme temperatures, and impact.

WARNING:
Jewelry poses a choking hazard. Items containing pewter components may also contain lead which is known to cause brain damage if ingested. Items containing glass can break, resulting in sharp edges that may cause injury. The items I make are not intended for children under the age of 18 years.

BUYER BEWARE:
I am neither a gemologist, nor a metallurgist. I purchase my materials, in good faith, from what I hope are reputable dealers. I strive for accuracy in my item descriptions, and do not intend to harm or mislead anyone, in any way, by sharing my hobby with others.
