Welcome to my profile page and thank you for stopping by to look. My name is Natalie. I live with my best friend and husband in a semi rural area of Martinez, CA . We are surrounded by open space and parkland. The air is rich with flying birds and bird songs. Many wild animals grace the landscape. I am very thankful to live here with such a grand window onto nature, which is a perpetual inspiration for my work!

Until recently I sold my creations from my studio and at selected craft venues. I am now happy to have also opened an Etsy shop and to be part of this wonderful community.

I received a BA in Fine Arts from the University of California, Berkeley. My emphasis was painting and etching. Although I went on to become a teacher of visually impaired students, I continued to pursue my practice of art. I have always drawn and painted, having begun as a very young child. My pursuit of art brings me peace and satisfaction. It beautifully balances all the left brained activities which life brings. I have also been a free-lance photographer and have had many images published in a variety of college texts in special education.

I started making jewelry about 10 years ago and wish to thank the generous and gifted teachers who have made this path for artistic expression possible:

Lisa Claxton - bead weaving
Hadar Jacobson - metal clay
LaVonne Vashon - wire wrapping
Joe Silvera - metal smithing, soldering, stone setting, wax carving
Eileen Gerstein - kum boo
Ed Lay - lost wax casting, enamels
Linda Darty - cloisonne
Anat Silvera - torch enameling, fold-forming
Chris Nelson - iron and gold
More to come!! : )
