Arlene Marie Coleman's Profile

About

My Mom taught me how to sew when I was twelve and I haven't stopped since. I find it quite rewarding to be able to take a piece of fabric and make something wearable or giftable. Always dreamed of making my own wedding dress and in 1967 I did! Have been making quality, affordable 18 inch doll clothing for almost 25 years. I live with my husband of 49 years in beautiful Bucks County, Pa., not far from our three grown children and three fantastic grandchildren.
I have been a doll collector for 66 years and have lost count. I think I have around 200! Everything from antiques to the dolls I played with as a child, to modern. Among them are nine beautiful American Girls - one of the best dolls ever made in my opinion.
I have recently been commissioned to make dresses for some of the antique dolls in the Princeton Doll and Toy Museum shop. What an honor! :)
It was a great honor…

It was a great honor to write and publish a children's book inspired by my Grandson - "Dinosaurs for Nana" Check it out in my shop.
My other great passion is playing violin in the Bucks County Symphony Orchestra. Join us at a concert sometime. We're pretty darn good!
And why the "cutesy" shop name? The grandchildren call me Nana and my hubby calls me Honey Bunny. What can I say?
