About

I taught myself to quilt when I retired in 2006. I retired so I could help my daughter care for my grandson. He was 9 months old when I retired and didn't give me much time to quilt. He is now 9 and I have much more time to quilt. He learned his colors and how to count from all the quilts that I have made. Everytime I finish a new quilt, I show him and he always says "Nice Nanny". Couldn't ask for more. I sew everyday and am the happiest I have ever been. Life is really good.

I also feel compelled to tell all of you my deepest, darkest secret. I love-love-love the smell of fabric. I could stay in my sewing room all day long.

Let me tell you a little bit about my quilts. Unless specified in the description, each quilt is cut, pieced, sewn, quilted and bound by me. I do occasionally send out my larger quilts to be quilted on a longarm machine. But I always make note of that in my descriptions. Also all of my quilts and quilted pieces have the binding folded in half and sewn on to the front of the quilt. I then turn the binding and hand sew the double binding to the back. I must say that sewing the binding on is one of my favorite parts of making a quilt. Also all my quilts and quilted items can be washed in the washer (I wash them on cold) and dried on low in the dryer.

SHIPPING INFO--Items will be shipped within 1 business days of payment through paypal or with a credit card. A shipping overpayment of $1.00 or more will be refunded upon shipment.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS--I use priority mail from the USPS as my regular shipping. With the increase in shipping this month, I can also ship your quilt using First Class Postage instead of priority mail. It will cost you less than priority. Just contact me and I can let you know what first class postage will be to your country.
