Natalie Bessell's Profile

About

Natalie’s short stint at the School of Visual Arts in New York has inspired her work and ideas of art. The far-out ideals of a city’s mentality, combined with her obsession of the technical have developed a rather unique style. Her preferred medium is acrylic on paper, although, she experiments with mixed media and found objects. She sees the world as a scientific study of scattered collections of art. Aiming to reveal cultures through the repetition of certain colors, subjects, and designs to share their customs visually.
Natalie currently lives in San Diego, and has a newfound appreciation for its proximity to Mexico, as well as its coastal deserts. She continues to collect vintage goods, eclectic images and paint the details of life that she would like to be remembered.
