Every day we are forced to pull our uniform over our heads. Even when we are not "working," there are still silent rules forcing us to fall in line with what not to wear. These structured rules completely prohibit the beauty of true self-expression and hinder the individual.

My work merges the desire to break free of the every day with the challenge to bring fashion back to fantasy, ingenuity, individuality and boldness.

I find the designs and thoughts of the Roaring 20s, 30s, early burlesque and the secret lives of Victorian era women, inspirational. My passion for the historically fabulous leads me to estate sales, where I often find vintage accents and forgotten bits and pieces. When incorporated into my works, the accompanying spirit of a vintage element tends to animate and illuminate. The vibrant sprays of feathers and the showering of sparkling crystals on my works are exemplary of my quest to capture the essence of happiness in its most spectacular form.

By employing the old and new, subtle and decorative, I hope to refresh the sore eyes of those who see and reawaken the dormant spirit of those who display.
