A few years later, my Mom, Grandmother, and Aunt wanted to teach me quilting, but by then I had a life and couldn't be bothered. A decade later, there I was struggling to learn from books and bits of memories what they had wanted to teach me about quilting while they were here with me. I've lived along and dabbled in other mediums since then, pattering in paint, puttering in pottery, and never getting more than a few rows into knitting. Then, in 2007, I made a beaded leather medicine pouch for a friend who was being deployed, and what started as a minor crush a few decades ago turned into my true love affair with beads!
