About

I am a passionate Costume/Clothing Designer from Germany. When I was 15 years old, my christmas gift from my parents was a sewing machine. That was when it all started and when I knew what my job will have to be. Six years later I graduated from a fashion-design college and I have no idea what my life would be like without fabric, needles and a sewing machine. Inspiration for new designs is everywhere, if I just see a certain fabric, I most likely know within 2 minutes what I'd make from it. Creating, and making clothes with my own hands is the most amazing gift I could have ever asked for and when several yards of fabric eventually turn into a swing dress, a gown or a skirt, I feel complete. What once was my hobby has become my job and I couldn't be more happy about that.

I just love the fashion of the 1940's and 1950's, when women still dressed like women, and when dresses, nylons and hats were as important in a ladies wardrobe as a handsome husband on her side. But as much as history itself fascinates and interests me, the fashions of long gone centuries are what my dreams are made of. Long, beautiful victorian gowns, corsets, Edwardian dresses or the fashion of the 1920's are all pieces of art and pure beauty for me.
