About

I'm a vintage lovin' gal with a keen eye for fabulous vintage pieces to share with you here on Etsy. I dance argentine tango, love W.B. Yeats' poems, and heartily enjoy a good cup of tea, especially on rainy days.

I love sharing cool, unique vintage things because it's a beautiful way to reuse the old to reduce our demand for the new. Personally, I've had enough of mega-corporations, cheap and cheaply produced goods, sweat shops, and heavens knows we don't need to make more synthetic fabric or unsustainable cotton for the time being! So give a beautiful piece from the past a chance for a second life, instead, I say! :)

So give a beautiful piece from the past a chance for a second life, instead, I say! :)

Pamplemousse and Parapluie are my two favourite words in the French language. (Hence, thanks to Etsy's length restricitons on shop names, smushed together into Pamplepluie!) They translate to English as grapefruit and umbrella, respectively. Together, they make lovely-sounding nonsense. Pamplepluie embodies my jewelry design philosophy with spot-on accuracy: I strive to make pieces that are unique, pushing the envelope of quirky, and beautiful but not pretentious. Each piece is designed and constructed with care to best complement the beautiful souls that I imagine they will one day adorn.

Right now, I'm particularly interested in the idea of creating jewelry and accessories that are ecologically friendly and sustainable. I love working with materials that are either recycled or repurposed in my work, and I'm constantly exploring new materials to work with, so please stop back often to see what I'm up to, and what new vintage treasures I've found to share with you!

I'm also a freelance writer and blogger - you can find my stuff here:
