About

Hello, Hello!!!

My name is Amy and I am the artist/creator for NoodleDoo Designs. Along with teaching Kindergarten, I have been creating & painting for 10 years.

HERE'S THE DEAL WITH MY ART:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When I had children, I wasn’t satisfied with the choices of wall art available. It seems to me that if it's going on your child's wall...to be viewed daily, then it should most definitely be meaningful, thought provoking, inspiring, AND stand the test of time. I found myself researching the methods and ideas of current children's artists, and started creating my own designs. It was incredibly empowering to realized that what I wanted for my kid's walls could exist: I just needed to create it!

I focus on trying to paint pieces that would go on a nursery wall and remain on the wall through elementary school, withstanding all the different trends that come and go. I work to create high-quality art - using quality canvases, acrylic paints, and techniques - for a reasonable price.

In my son's room: My husband and I avoided the baby-themed décor and opted for bright accessories and art that would not limit us later. He has "funky-retro" transportation and robot-type objects and art. But we didn't limit ourselves with a "transportation theme" or color pallet - he enjoys soccer and skateboarding as well, along with shapes, letters and numbers. All of this and more is incorporated. We have found that keeping his room more eclectic than themed has allowed us to remain flexible - easily incorporating new items to his room here and there.

HERE'S THE DEAL WITH MY FOUNTAINS:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I start by collecting ceramic pieces or metal art from around town. Then I focus on creating a spout and misc. parts using drills, copper piping, tubing, etc. And last, I match the custom spout with a bowl and high quality pump. All are unique in every way (most one-of-a-kind). more coming soon...

HERE'S THE DEAL WITH MY LAMPS/LIGHTS/CHANDELIERS:

more coming soon...

I hope that you enjoy the art you see by NoodleDoo Designs and find something that will meet the needs of your heart and home. Should one of my creations end up in your home...know that this is and will always be an honor and privilege on my part.

Thank you for visiting!

Amy :-)
