Paige Tucker's Profile

About

I have been a collector for as long as I can remember--unusual stones, seashells, miniatures, sea glass, nature books, buttons, whatever struck my fancy at various ages.

About

I have been a collector for as long as I can remember--unusual stones, seashells, miniatures, sea glass, nature books, buttons, whatever struck my fancy at various ages.

I also grew up going to country auctions with my parents. That's where I developed my love of vintage and antique treasures. I remember listening to the auctioneer calling out bids as buyers raised their hands, touched their hats or nodded their heads ever so slightly. Following my parents instructions, I stood stock still, careful not to accidentally make a purchase.

Combining my love of collecting with my penchant for treasures from the past, I have vintage and antique pieces in my home--furniture, glassware, household items, costume jewelry, odds and ends.

When I discovered Etsy, I decided to turn my hobby into an online treasure shop. I love the thrill of the hunt and finding something special in the bottom of an old box at a yard sale.

I still have many items yet to post in my shop because my job as a high school teacher requires lots of time and energy. I'm looking forward to the summer when my daughter and I will join forces to photograph and list the items that are filling up my guest bedroom. Then, I'll hit the road to find more surprises--some to sell and some I just won't be able to let go.
