I've been reclaiming materials, such as fused plastic and found objects, and turning them into jewelry pieces for a couple years. I've always tried to be conscious of respecting nature and this amazing planet on which we coexist. That I was eventually drawn to repurposing single use items, such as plastic bags, was fairly inevitable considering my ever growing environmentalism coupled with my drive to create. I'm not sure who coined the phrase, "Diamonds are forever, so are plastic bags"; I've seen it many places all over the web. That simple phrase is why I mainly focus on single use plastics, such as plastic snack bags, for my reclaimed art materials. Items which I have repurposed for One More Use; which I hope will stay out of the landfills for quite a lot longer than their original intended purpose.
