About

The name Onkie Bazoobie (On-Key, Buh-zoo-bee) was created out of the imagination of our niece years ago. Little did she know these two silly words she made up and repeated for months would stick with us forever.

Back in 2008, Onkie Bazoobie was the first on Etsy to offer one-of-a-kind personalized paper covered picture frames. Just like any business, we have evolved over time. We make by hand each product we sell, bringing new designs and products, paper options and styles to keep up with the trends and to keep our loyal and new customers happy.

Fast forward to 2016, we began to expand our creativity with more craftsmanship woodworking. It started with us taking down a few trees around our home located in the Cascade Mountains to protect us from potential wildfire danger. We were left with a plethora of wood which we milled ourselves in our driveway using a Lucas Mill. Now with a large supply of lumber and the desire to create, we decided to take our frames to the next level.

Using the Doug fir and Ponderosa Pine trees we fell, as well as locally sourcing other native lumber, we now offer a variety of handcrafted rustic wood home décor. From Frames to Shelves, to Mirrors and more.
We’ll always stay true to our roots and offer the best of quality personalized frames for all your special occasions and we hope you can find a statement piece from our Rustic Wood décor lines as well.

One thing will always remain and that is our desire to create beautiful things to display in your homes, with the best craftsmanship, quality and service you can find. Always.

Thank you so much for visiting our page and learning a little more about us; a married couple from Seattle, corporate job slaves who left it all for the woods, some peace and quiet with the desire to work to live rather that live to work.
