Originally from New York, Kerrie moved to San Francisco in 1999 and was creatively invigorated by the colors and textures of the city and its surroundings. She quickly became active in the local artist & underground music/dance lifestyle and began making costumes for SF shows, festivals, and the Burning Man community. After graduation, she was one of four students accepted into FIDM's third-year Advanced Study Program in Theatre Costume in Los Angeles and was awarded the Alex Rolden Scholarship for her talents. Since then, Kerrie has relocated to Los Angeles, and is a working costume designer for the film and music industry, while also designing for her own label “Opal Moon”.

Chiefly inspired by ancient mythology & science fiction, Kerrie describes her style as: "Tribal Sci-Fi". To further develop this concept she draws from her personal experiences in film, electronic music & performance art. Her designs compliment dancers and performers of all types on or off the stage. Used more simply, pieces are extremely versatile so they can be worn by anyone who desires fashion-forward street-wear for day or evening. Each garment and/or costume is handmade in her downtown Los Angeles studio. Each piece is not only created with superb quality and craftsmanship, but labeled either "One-of-a-Kind" or of a "Limited Edition" to ensure genuine originality.

Kerrie is also a proud member of the Costume Designers Guild- Local 892. You can view her costume design gallery, blog, and portfolio of her work at:
