I created my store “Pale Moon Dark Night” to sell my handmade jewelry. However, it has become much more than just that. Through making jewelry and now digital art collages, I have learned a lot. The main thing being-- if at first you don’t succeed try, try again. My work keeps me focused in a positive direction, and it is my hope that it brings positivity to others. I have a love for literature and a passion for people who dare to think outside the box. I am drawn to signs, symbols, animals, nature, and color. Through my work I explore my life and the life of others. I hope you find a piece that brings a smile to your face.

Most of my jewelry is made using polymer clay. I have worked with the clay for about 5 years now, and I feel like I have just skimmed the surface of it capabilities. I have recently created a new line of necklaces. Each focal point is hand crafted using a variety of techniques including: molding, sculpting, imprinting, antiquing, painting, and glazing. I like to think of each focal point as a little “piece of life” and just like life my pieces contain a vast variety. Sometimes I’m inspired by a mood, landscape, or feeling. Other times I am just aesthetically drawn to an image or color. (In my personal blog at www.palemoondarknight.com I am beginning to explore images meanings and symbolism.)

In addition to my new jewelry line I have also been working on making collages. I enjoy the freedom of having so much space to work with, and I find collage a nice contrast to my jewelry making. I love the endless possibilities that Photoshop enables me to have with graphics. I add and layer ephemera to the background of most of my images. I like mixing the modern with the vintage, nature with urban, and seeing the effects that I can get. I have also been incorporating my personal paintings into my collages.

I have also just opened another shop on Etsy called “Violet”. In this shop you will find a collection of handpicked vintage items, which is another one of my passions. (http://www.etsy.com/shop/violetsobsession)

Thank you for taking a look at my store. I hope that my work nourishes your heart and spirit, as it does mine.
