I am married, and have 2 cats 1 new kitten, and a chihuahua.

Ever since I was a young girl, I dabbled in crafts. I spent time doing latch hook, loved those weaving looms, embroidery, and other things. As I got older, paper and stickers became my loves. I collected stickers when I was very young, and today I still have the album with every sticker I ever collected! While in college I had to do a portfolio of my teaching experiences and I loved finding papers to make a really cute, yet professional album for future employers to look at. Little did I know at the time that was my precursor to scrapbooking!

I went on a trip to California to visit my mom. While I was there, I lost my camera, so all I had for memorabilia was postcards (another favorite thing for me to collect)and tickets from places my mom and stepfather took me to. It stayed in a bag and one day I realized I wanted to make a scrapbook to keep that stuff in one place.

I never once took a class before I made that album, but I had so much fun making it. Eventually I started to visit scrapbook stores and decided that I could really like this hobby! Eventually I took some classes to learn all about this wonderful hobby. Between classes, online inspiration and books and magazines, I began to learn everything I could ever learn (and I still try and learn new things) about scrapbooking. It was about a year or so after I started scrapbooking that I began to make cards. I took one class on techniques and after that, I taught myself.

Many people scrapbook for the memories. Some do it for the creative process. I fit in both of those categories. Sure, I want to preserve my memories, but I enjoy the whole creative process so much. There is no right or wrong way to place a piece of paper or embellishment. There are so many choices out there, and so many forms of inspiration. Something inspires me every day-it could be something my silly kittens did, something online, even something as odd as something on tv, or magazines. Even Etsy's talents inspire me!

I came to Etsy after seeing some posts about it on another message board. When I saw the talent and how easy it was to set up a shop, I was hooked. I am thrilled to show my work to you!

I have another shop that is a collective with my husband: SashasTreasureChest.etsy.com
We will be selling vintage comic books and other collectible items. We will be listing soon!
