About

Hello, I love animals and art. As a child I tried out pretty much every type of art and craft possible. It was my desire to bring my sketches and photos to 3D life that led to my first bear. Soft sculpture gave me the poseablity that clay couldn't, and was a lot more huggable.
I enjoy using a variety of materials when creating my work. Most of the work is done by hand, though I will use my sewing machine on some of the larger pieces. Past accomplishments include having some of my bears included in articles by Teddy Bear Review and Teddy Bear & Friends magazines. In 1999, my polar bear Iggy, was nominated for a TOBY award.
My pieces are created in a smoke-free, pet friendly home. I try to do my part to be green as much as possible. This includes recyling boxes from my day job for shipping as much as possible and using unbleached tissue paper made for recyled paper for packing.
