Thank you for shopping with me, I hope you are pleased with my artwork.

About me...

I am originally from England. I love Watercolor Painting and Gardening as well as other creative pastimes.

I began drawing before I started school and have practiced the skill all my life. I even drew on the paper shopping bags as my parents emptied them on the kitchen table.

We emigrated from England to America on the Queen Mary when I was young, and I won first place in the ship's art competition - I still have that award.

All through school I took every art class my schedule allowed, and on into college. I dabbled somewhat in colors, but black and white drawing was my strong suit.

After school and some commercial art side jobs, I happend upon an intriguing watercolor program on television. I watched weekly and became ever-more enthralled. My first watercolor effort was a botanical-style illustration of a demure violet with a dew drop. I was hooked.

I have spent many years studying my craft, including an extensive libray of watercolor and art books by a wide variety of professional artists, and many, many hours spent with famous watercolor artists, some of whom have since passed on.

I love the free-flowing nature of watercolor, and although I can paint still life, animals and portraits, my current trend is landscapes, cityscapes and interiors. Any chance I can get is spent painting en plein air, what better reason for day trips - anywhere!
