About

"For as long as I can remember I have loved "old" things. Old photographs, old furniture, old jewelry and especially old people. All of them are so rich in history and have a very special story to tell. It’s no secret that I have an affinity for old doorknobs. Just spying one or two of them at a flea market sets my heart to racing. Crystal ones....glass ones...porcelain....brass....shabby.....chippy..... painted.....rusty....I find beauty in all of them. Their “imperfections” are “perfection” to me. Their vintage "wear "hints at the lives they once held as “functional” objects. Whose homes did they grace? Whose hands turned them? What doors did they open and what was on the other side? Their “history” breathes a life into my creations that might otherwise seem cold and lifeless. “Well-worn” speaks of being “well-loved” and that is what I always hope to offer those who find beauty in what I create with them....my “Inspiration Holders.”…

I believe that well-worn objects speak of being well-loved. They add a warmth to one's heart and home that nothing "new" could ever attempt to do. I like working with found objects, vintage findings, photographs, doorknobs, watches and anything that speaks to my heart. I am happiest when I am being creative. I owe my creative passion to my mother and to the grandmother I never knew. My mother, though she would deny it, is an artist at heart. I believe she has always looked at the world through artists eyes...appreciative of its simple beauty. From the stories my father has told me about his mother, I'd like to think we would have been kindred creative spirits as well.

I hope you enjoy my creations and find something that speaks to YOUR heart.

From mine to yours....many blessings,
Michelle Louise
