My name is Steve Raley, and I've been making photographic images, both professionally and for my own pleasure since I was a young lad.
For me, the journey began with the Kodak Hawkeye FlashFun camera I received one Christmas. Nothing, and no one was safe; I’m afraid I became quite annoying to family, friends and critters alike. I turned a page in high school when I enrolled in a photography class. My father gave me his Argus C44R 35mm rangefinder camera; I signed up for the yearbook staff and became annoying to a whole new group of people.
The journey continued and I found myself in uniform as a Marine Corps photographer; official portraits, still life images, accident investigations, photo spreads for print publications, award presentations…whatever was needed.
