Gwendlyn Goulet's Profile

About

I have been creating wire work jewellery since 2009 when I checked out a book from my local library on wire wrapping and immediately fell in love with the techniques. I am a self-taught artist in wire, using techniques such as wire-wrapping, hammering & chasing, soldering & fusing, and viking knit. My personal style is to use the wire to accent the stone and emphasize the natural beauty of the stone.
I hav also started to learn the technique of working with metal clay to make jewellery. Again, reading up on the technique using books, and tutorials to teach myself this interesting medium.
My latest venture is into fold forming. This technique is quite interesting, being able to bend and shape metal with hammers. It is amazing the way that the metal can be moved.
